Learning objectives:

• To understand the difference between Transthyretin Amyloidosis (ATTR) and Amyloid Light-chain Amyloidosis (AL)
• To learn about the hereditary subtype ATTR V122I and how it affects patients of black ethnicity
• To develop an understanding of the challenges faced in diagnosing and treating this condition
• To gain awareness of ways to support black patients with hereditary ATTR and those who carry the gene
• To feel empowered to diagnose ATTR and develop a knowledge of the condition to implement in clinical practise in a culturally sensitive way.
